Hours Full time
Salary £38,000 – £40,000
Location Hybrid role between our office in St Ives, Cambridgeshire and home. The role may include some other travel to other locations in the area as needed.

Caring Together Charity are looking for an experienced management accountant to join the team and help support the work we do for unpaid carers. About the role

Working in a this varied role includes delivering the management accounts function spanning financial administration, audit and compliance and improvement of financial systems, the position is responsible for line management of two members of the finance team and supporting the director of finance and resources in the delivery of an effective and efficient finance function.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts.
  • Year end accounting and audits.
  • The overseeing of the payroll processes and line management of the Payroll Officer.
  • Using relevant systems in the best way, including Microsoft Dynamics, CIPHR and Access People Planner (experience in these is not essential but much appreciated!).
  • Other general ad hoc duties as needed by organisation.

What skills we would like from you:

  • Qualified accountant or finalist (ACCA or CIPFA qualification is desirable).
  • Intermediate Excel and data management skills.
  • Experience of accounting packages (Microsoft Dynamics experience would be really helpful!)
  • Knowledge of payroll and payroll processes would be advantageous
  • Previous experience of rostering and CRM systems would also be advantageous but full training will be given.
  • Previous line management experience would be desirable but is not essential.
  • Strong communicator and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to continuously improve and seek out professional development opportunities.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build and maintain professional working relationships across multiple levels.
