NHS GP, Dr Osman Bhatti has spoken about why it is ok for people caring for a family member or friend to seek support from organisations such as Caring Together. He said, “There are factors that affect different communities accessing support…could be due to taboo issues, or it may not feel right or they are embarrassed to do so.”
Ayesha, inclusion officer at Caring Together, met with Dr Bhatti during a recent NHS diabetes wellness event at the Cambridge Central Mosque, where we were invited to have an information stall to raise awareness of Caring Together and offer advice and information to carers.
