Ramsey Junior School have been successful in achieving a silver award for supporting young carers. The school has set up a Young carer support group in school as well as championing information about young carers in the community. The award is assessed by carers Trust and The Children’s Society. Ramsey Junior School is 1 of over 30 schools in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough who are committing to support young carers.
Mrs Michelle Juniper, Young Carer Leader at Ramsey Junior School said, “I am absolutely thrilled that all the hard work the school puts into supporting its Young carers has been acknowledged by this Silver award.”
