Crafty Christmas card making to start the festive season has been happening at our local hubs around Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
At Caring Together, our family carers hubs in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough provide opportunities for carers to access a range of community based help and support. Hub activities include social groups, training and wellbeing support for carers and the people they care for. This enables carers to have a short break at the hub knowing that the person that they care for is involved in a safe, meaningful and enjoyable activity.
The family carers hubs also provide opportunities for carers and the people they care for to engage in activities together. The hubs bring together a range of organisations who are able to offer support and information to carers through talks, presentations and information stands. Caring for someone with dementia? Our family carers hubs are dementia friendly (especially our hub in Great Shelford, Cambridge, which was the first of our hubs being dementia friendly), and aimed at supporting carers to take a short break, whether that’s on their own, or together with their loved one.
Family carer hubs are supported by the National Lottery Community Fund and Postcode Community Trust.
