Men Who Talk (MWT) is a registered charity offering unique spaces for men based in the UK to talk and support each other across a range of different topics and issues.
The charity was founded in recognition of the need to engage men in the UK more with support services. Although men make up a significant number of referrals to mental health units, and suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45, many services still struggle to engage men in a meaningful way.
MWT offers different, less intensive spaces where men can support each other, sharing what they wish. It is not counselling or therapy, but a chance for men of all backgrounds to, through the power of chat and conversation, see that it is OK to receive help and to talk to others.
MWT also runs workshops for companies and organisations to further raise the importance of men’s mental health. Many men struggle with their mental health, due to pressures faced at work. Through our bespoke, discussion based workshops, MWT has been challenging the stigmas faced by men in the workplace and helping companies to create new, more supportive cultures.
