The Dementia Resource Centre based in Lincoln Road (car park on York Road) is a one stop shop for people to access advice, information and support. Its aim is to provide a wide range of services that really meet the needs of local people and make a positive difference to their lives. They have drop-in peer support groups and can provide one-to-one support where needed, please contact them for a timetable and more information, they would be happy to chat with you! They have a cafe on site where you’re able to pop in and have tea and cake, or even a bacon sandwich! While you’re there you can find out more about what they can offer, which activities you can get involved in and talk to one of their Dementia Support Workers for one-to-one advice and guidance. Alternatively contact them via phone or email for more information on one of their activity sessions such as Singing for the Brain, Think and Share, their Peer Support Group for Carers and other events and activities they may be running.
