We are extremely proud that Sarah Farrow has been shortlisted for The Care Trainer Award for the Great British Care Awards, East of England, in what was, we understand, a hotly contested category!
Sarah has worked for us for over three years, but has many years’ experience in the care sector. Along with a wealth of experience in the nursing profession. Sarah developed the training programme for us alongside Sadie Andrews and was recently praised in a CQC inspection for her training delivery. Staff feedback has been equally positive with many stating that her training and knowledge was ‘excellent’.
“Sarah makes training interesting and fun,” Sadie Andrews, who nominated Sarah, said.
“She supports staff to delivery high quality care support and gives them hands-on experience by using ‘real-life’ scenarios to demonstrate good practice.
“Sarah goes above and beyond for her own and for staff development. She also ensures she is aware of key legislation changes and training standards.”
Sarah added,
“I take great pride in teaching staff of all levels. Giving them the confidence and skills to do the job and have pride in the work they do.”
Sarah will find out on Thursday 9th November at a nail-biting awards ceremony in Peterborough if she has won. We say Good Luck, Sarah and very well done!
