Carers Social Action Support Fund Final Evaluation Report
Caring Communities started as a Cabinet Office funded project in 2014 aimed at identifying and Carers across all communities and linking them to sources of support. The project has now ended but Carers Trust Cambridgeshire is committed to continuing the work.
We have delivered carers awareness sessions to over 700 professionals, volunteers and members of the public through our Carer Friends and Carer Champions Awareness Programme, and now have a team of trained volunteers delivering the awareness sessions which extends our reach further. The aims of the sessions are to enable early identification of unknown Carers, and to ensure that help is provided as early as possible through information advice and guidance, and links to services and support.
