Leave a gift in your Will

Including a charity in your Will is a big decision, and we cannot thank you enough for considering Caring Together Charity. Once your family and loved ones are taken care of, any gift you make will make a huge difference – just 1% could improve the lives of so many unpaid carers.

Gifts in Wills made to Caring Together Charity will support unpaid carers in the East of England, and will allow us to reach more people sooner, before they reach crisis point. They will also allow for us to continue running our vital services, such as support for children who are carers, our free counselling sessions, and carers hubs. A legacy gift will allow us to continue our vital work, and always be here for unpaid carers.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who includes a gift in their Will to Caring Together Charity. You will be leaving a legacy of a lifetime, and we couldn’t do what we do without you. Thank you.

The gift of a lifetime

Stuart and Brenda care for two of their adopted children who have learning difficulties. They are unpaid carers, and long-term supporters of Caring Together Charity. Stuart is also Caring Together Charity’s Chair of Trustees.

They already had simple mirror Wills written back in the 1970s, but realised that they needed updating after the changes to their lives over the years, including the adoption of their three children. Find out more about why Stuart and Brenda decided to get so involved in supporting unpaid carers, and how this led them to leave a gift in their Will to Caring Together Charity.

Why leave a gift to Caring Together?

Caring Together Charity currently supports over 26,000 unpaid carers across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and Norfolk. However, there’s over 160,000 unpaid carers in our region – and that’s just the ones we know about. Every day, carers are struggling alone and many are reaching crisis point.

We provide services to ease the immense strain that caring can cause. Carers often fall into their caring role suddenly and without any training. Carers can feel isolated, overwhelmed, and completely lost trying to get the right help for the person they look after.

Your gift will enable us to continue the vital work of supporting unpaid carers, before they reach crisis point. We will be able to expand our services to reach more people and ensure that no unpaid carer is ever left in crisis, isolated, or struggling alone.

Leaving a gift in your Will to a charity is inheritance tax free. If you leave over 10% to a charity like Caring Together, you can reduce the amount of tax you pay on your remaining taxable estate.
