Cambridgeshire Libraries have joined Good Things Foundation’s National Databank.
The National Databank makes free data available (via a SIM card or data voucher) to anyone over the age of 18 from a low-income household. Recipients will self-declare as eligible, and the support is available for a maximum period of 12 months. The data can be used with any SIM-enabled device.
Three providers are offering a variation of packages:
- O2: 20GB of data and unlimited calls and texts; refreshes every month.
- Vodafone: 40GB of data and unlimited calls and texts; refreshes every month.
- Three: 24GB of data in total. No calls or texts provided; not refreshed.
All recipients have to do is to visit the following libraries and speak to a member of staff:
- Cambridge Central Library, Cambridge City
- St Ives Library, Huntingdonshire
- Wisbech Library, Fenland
- Bar Hill Library, South Cambridgeshire
