As a fundraiser for Caring Together, you will help promote a positive image of the company whilst raising funds to aid us in continuing the life changing work we do. You will coordinate fundraising events and manage and logs funds and donations gained.

You will assist in the development and implementation of a fundraising program. You will help plan for and manage fundraising events.  You will be serving as an ambassador for the organisation and promotes a positive image/reputation of the charity.

For this role you will need strong verbal and written communication skills. You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about making a difference. The role will require you to be flexible and willing to organise and attend events on behalf of the charity.

Events volunteer

Caring Together holds regular charity events, not only for fundraising purposes, but to raise awareness of the brilliant services we provide. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us plan and facilitate these events. The events are carried out across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Norfolk all year round.

You will be involved in attending local events to either help distribute information and advice to the community to help raise awareness, assist with fundraising activities on stalls or just be there as a support to ensure the event runs smoothly.

This role requires as much or as little commitment as you can give, based on your availability. You will be rostered onto events near where you are based.

Volunteer trainers

We are seeking to train sensitive and supportive volunteers to provide carer awareness training to organisations and community groups to help them identify carers and signpost them to available support.  Volunteers will be trained to deliver a standard presentation to organisations and community groups which will help employees/members, as part of their day to day activities, understand the needs of and identify carers, as well as signpost them to the support provided by the Caring Together and other sources of help.

For this role you will need to demonstrate sensitivity and empathy to carers and young carers, be able to effectively engage and communicate with people, have good presentation skills or willing to learn, be self-confident and proactive and able to work as part of a team or individually

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to providing two training sessions (or more) a month.  The maximum time a training session would take is 1 hour 30 minutes (the standard session is one hour) alongside travel time to the venue.  There is flexibility in the times these sessions could be booked but generally they take place between 9am-3.30pm Monday to Friday.
