What we need from you

  • A full driving licence and your own vehicle is essential.
  • Experience is not essential for this role, a kind and compassionate nature is more important and full training will be given.
  • An understanding of person-centred care.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable using various systems on a mobile phone to update care plans and check on your scheduled visits.
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care for the people we support when required.

About the role

You will be providing support to customers and their families at short notice in the event of a needed break for unpaid carers.

Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and any day could include, helping someone develop a new skill, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their home, support with leisure activities and interests.

You could be supporting people in their own home or taking them out and about in their community.

You will also play a proactive role in signposting the people we support and their families.

Rapid Responder (Senior Care Assistant)

Salary: £12,108 (£28,000 FTE)

Location: Kings Lynn / North Norfolk

Hours: 16 per week to support a 24/7 service

  • Knowledge and experience of working to a high standard within legislative and regulation standards of care. Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a domiciliary setting desirable.
  • A minimum NVQ Level 2 in health and social care or equivalent. Level 3 is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of person-centred care.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable using various systems on a mobile phone to update care plans and check on your scheduled visits.
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care for the people we support when required.

About the role

We believe in providing great care and connecting with the people we support. Key accountabilities of the role

  • Be part of a responsive team providing support to customers and their families.
  • With your knowledge and experience you will be ensuring people who use our services receive safe, caring, responsive, effective care & support.
  • Provide care support in the community via our home care service, including complex cases.
  • To play a proactive role in signposting patients and their families to other relevant support services (both internal and external, both statutory and non-statutory).
  • Complete contingency risk assessments and care plans for new and existing customers and emergency packages of care to maintain a ‘rapid response’ to customer need and ensure high quality support
