A really big thank you to the 131 members of staff from the Co-operative who completed a 10 mile walk and bike ride around Grafham Water on 5th May 2013 on behalf of Carers Trust, raising a wonderful £8,500.
The event is part of the Co-op regional team’s support for Carers Trust and adds to the £66,00 already banked by the region. We have received lots of lovely comments from members of staff who took part, who said that the day had provided “Lots of fun and memories and are really proud to get behind such a great cause.” Everyone who started completed the event and was rewarded with a certificate at the end to congratulate them on going the extra mile.
There are 101 stores across Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk and the event was a great success. The team, led by their Fundraising Champion, Area Manager, Paul Slade has set themselves the target of raising £200,00 for Carers Trust for the Year. They are well on the way to achieving this and we are really appreciative of everything they are doing.
